Our Curriculum Practices

Early Years Learning Framework

he Early Years Learning Framework was designed by the Council of Australian Government and is a expectation of Learning Outcomes in which we here at Regents Park Kindergarten & Child Care will comply with at all times. The educational goals that the EYLF wish to achieve is

All young Australians become:

  •  Successful learners
  •  Confident and creative individuals
  •  Active and informed citizens

We will achieve these outcomes with our Reggio Emilia inspired  Emergent Curriculum practices which will derive from the children’s own self directed learning. Children will be the makers of their own creation and we as the Educators will guide them through trial and error, experimentation and risks as they learn.

Queensland Kindergarten Curriculum

Here at Regents Park Kindergarten & Child Care we are proud to announce that we will be offering the Kindergarten children the Queensland Kindergarten Curriculum. The Regents Park Kindergarten & Child Care provides specificity for children’s learning across the year before starting school, recognising that children bring with them diverse identities and backgrounds. It acknowledges that parents/carers are children’s first teachers and values the vital role families play in children’s lives and their ongoing learning. The term ‘families’ is used throughout the guideline to recognise the range of people who take on parenting roles.

Testimonials

We have trusted this wonderful family for the past nine years for all three of our girls. During this time they have showed us nothing short of absolute love and support and consistently provided an environment which is rich in education and child centred care
