Community Involvement

Plainland Kindy prides our self on being embedded within the Lockyer Valley community, through our on going Bush Kindy, swimming lessons, shopping centre visits and everything else in-between.

Our Empowered Learner Philosophy references our strong commitment to community involvement this is known as Sense Of Belonging “Every child has the right to feel a deep sense of belonging within their community. When children feel respected, valued and understood, they become more engaged, confident and willing to explore new ideas. Belonging is the foundation for healthy social and emotional development and allows children to thrive as learners” Plainland Kindy The Empowered Learner Philosophy 2025.

Kindy to Prep

Our Eucalyptus and Banksia Studio children attend school visits in Term three and Term Four to the local school in our area, this allows us to bridge the gap between Kindy and Prep. This allows us to build familiarity with the school environments and teachers.

Environments

Our Kindy environments comprises of a holistic approach embedding sensory, language, contraction, role play creative arts environmental care and STEM. These can be seen in our Flow of the Day rhythm at Plainland Kindy. Our little learners gather and collect their learning this then showcases through the learning environments. Plainland Kindy prides ourselves through the Curiosity Approach and The ROSE way framework which follows the enquiry based approach, thus enhances curiosity and capacity within children.
